Join with your food forests
The National Monitoring Program Food Forests exists of 33 food forests. To sustain the quality of the research we have a protocol in which we check whether your food forests is a valuable addition to the research. New food forests initiatives are welcome to contact us, than we will check the age, location, layout and motivation of the food forests. By doing so, we improve the quality of the research and network. We are looking forward to hear from you.

The Program investigates the different subgoals of a food forests by using standardized research methods.
Research
On a system-level, ecosystem values are essential to investigate. These values define the quality of food forests.
Network
The National Monitoring Program Food Forests provides a network in which connection and knowledge-exchange are key.
Participation is preffered
Our program is either focussed on researching food forests in collaboration with researchers and students, yet also participation is needed for specific indicators. The program is analyzing harvest, maintenance and profitability in collaboration with food forest initiatives. If your food forest wants to join our program, this participation is required. For now, to group is mostly interacting in Dutch, so this is preferred for interacting in the events.
Activities within NMVB
LIVE events
Twice a year we have live events in which we show our research results.
Online events
Once every two month we have an online session in which we exchange knowledge and experiences, mostly based on themes.
Forum – platform
Ask your questions on our forum, this is functional and 24/7. Other people and experts might help you. .
